http://cachacity.blogspot.com/2008/05/columna-nacional-34.html

GMC Yukon in vectors

The GMC Yukon I used in the armored truck infographic, isolated and with a version of the vector lines shown. It's a good example of a vehicle in vectors, or a vector illustration with a realistic look.

Character and logo proposal

I developed this proposal for a client to decide to implement it as corporate image, but it is still only a tryout.

Graphic identity portfolio

Some samples of my work on graphic identity: logos and applications, and a little of the concept behind them.

Cet is a consultant firm specialized in information technologies. Their logo simbolizes an aircraft's dashboard dial. Their role is to let their client know how good are they prepared to solve technological issues inside their business and to provide solutions for improvement.

Dataflux is one of the largest distributor of hardware in Mexico, related to Grupo Salinas and Elektra, amongst other important institutions.
Direct Link is an ISP and webmail provider. They felt a hummingbird simbolizes the agility and speed of their service quality.
Mendmaster is a tailor shop specialized in fast service for premium market. They are based in high-income areas where clients have little time for clothing adjustment and repairs, and high price suits and garments too expensive to be discarded for a minor fail.
The Terra cardboard topper piece was used to promote ISP service and web portal. They put it over computers in showrooms for shoppers to include ISP service with their purchase.

Tornado was a dutch-made high speed rollercoaster. I developed the graphic language and applications. It was a huge investment for the client, so they supported the launch of this feature with resources to make it a success.

Graphic communication: Gym.

I made this graphic for client who wanted to give a special touch for a gym. The direct client, an interior designer, wanted to communicate dynamism, sportiness and physical development without the cliche oily images of body builders. The final client is a gym with a more lifestyle and wellness concept, instead of the usual weightlifting warehouse.

The ornamental clear elements make the whole composition less rigid and evoking a bit of a "signature" touch, suggesting callygraphy, as if body building is as precise and crafty as an art.

Retirement comic

No, I'm not the one retiring from the comics. Some fellows in a big company celebrated the departing of their boss by giving them a craft-made comic of his life in the company. A personal goodbye present for an appreciated boss.

I charged them accordingly. They were happy.

MacCormick Ambigram

A web visitor asked for an ambigram of his last name. He is a clansman from the highlands, only a bit far from them.

As I mentioned in a previous post, an ambigram is quite a difficult task, and an uncertain one. As a beginner in this kind of endeavour, I can't be totally sure that the final result will be clear to read. Is it for you?

It has some simple PS effects, that quickly make it easy to achieve eye candy results.

Pensamiento lateral

This graphic art compositions might help souvenir makers from Africa, Kazakhstan and Pakistan to produce T-Shirts, mugs, or other memorabilia of their cities for visitors to buy. This might help bring some revenue to their towns and, they feel grateful, they could take a picture of their production and send it to the email adress on my profile. Will this happen?

Chinese master

A web developer commisioned me these illustrations for a site he is making to show some kind of guru or help avatar. He wanted it to look like an ancient chinese philosopher and master.
